The City of Camden Employs over 140 team members to provide excellent service to our citizens.
Administrative Services
Administrative Services Team strives to provide excellent services and include the area of Finance, & Public Administration.
Community Development & Planning
Community Development & Planning Team is the central hub of all activity for all the other Departments. The Community Deveopment Team consist of Human Resources, Grant writing, Planning for the community. The Community Development Team also is the Mayor's liaison to Economic Development, Camden Airport Commission, and Keep Camden Beautiful and the Advertising & Promotions Commission.
Camden Fire & Rescue
The Camden Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency rescue services to the 16.5 square mile city of Camden, Arkansas, with 28 paid firefighters operating out of three stations. In addition, the department also performs emergency rescues and provides mutual aid to the volunteer departments of Ouachita County, which covers 733 square miles.
Camden Police Department
The Camden Police Department’s purpose is to improve the quality of life in the City of Camden by providing responsive, efficient, quality public service that promotes the self-sufficiency, well-being and prosperity of citizens, employees, business and our community. The Camden Police Department consist of a Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division and Anmimal Control Division
Code Enforcement
The Code Enforcement Team works to enforce City Ordinances, Conduct Building Inspections, Conducts Flood Plain Management, oversees all planning and zoning of the City of Camden and protects the general Health and Safety of the citizens of Camden.
District Court
Arkansas District Courts have county-wide jurisdiction over traffic cases, misdemeanor cases, preliminary felony cases, and civic cases in matters of less than $5,000.
Public Works
The department oversees all Public Work projects including street construction and repair, solid waste collection and transfer, Parks & Cemeteries, Central Grage and many other projects.
Water Utilities
The Utilities Department is responsible for maintaining a plentiful supply of safe drinking water at an adequate pressure. The Utilities Department is also responsible for collecting and treating wastewater.
